Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam was established on 2 April 1943 in a small rented house on Iqbal Road Rawalpindi. It is now a leading charitable educational and social welfare organization in Pakistan. 
It is well known for its remarkable service to orphans and poor or neglected children from society.

Running costs are met through charitable donations made by Philanthropists and the general public. They also receive donations from other charity's, a grant is made by the government but it is negligible.

The annual cost of providing for over 700 childern  exceeds 35 million Rs. 

As well as board & Lodging the children at Apna Ghar also receive new clothing medical care, education upto Metric Level, technical training, extra coaching sessions,  Post Metric training for one year, and Higher Education in Colleges and Universities. 

They also have sessions in "Establishment in life after completion of education." 

More than six thousand orphan children have been brought up and educated in the orphanages of Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam, while thousands of others have been educated in its educational institutions as day scholars. Some of the important persons who were educated in our institutions are as shown below.
